For my ‘Bob’s Atomic Pizza’ logo concept I wanted to avoid creating a generic logo that would include imagery like a basic atomic sign or a mushroom cloud etc., as these ideas aren’t very original and are atypical of the theme. It has been challenging to think of a more unique concept, but my favourite ideas that I believe are more unique are;
– A UFO hovering above a pizza, either absorbing the cheesy~tomatoey goo from a pizza or blowing the pizza up causing a splatter of goo everywhere
– A cat named Bob (evident from the nametag on its collar) with half of its face melted off due to toxic radiation. This may be too graphic for all audiences if not designed correctly, however.
– Bob the cat, or Bob the human, wearing a hazmat suit, holding the pizza with their hand or with a pair of tongs as if its a uranium rod, or a piece of toxic waste.
– A slice of pizza with a radioactive zombie-like hand made of cheese and tomato goo growing out of the surface, with hot splatters of pizza goo spluttering everywhere
I decided to utilize the UFO idea for my finished logo. This design features a large alien piloted UFO both absorbing the pizza beneath and destroying it with nuclear bombs, causing splatterings of pizza cheese and toppings to fly everywhere. To display the theme of toxicity in the design, I coloured the UFO’s light panels neon green that looks like its glowing against the duller greens and greys of the rest of the UFO.
